As part of the EFG London Jazz Festival 2022, catch two of the finest emerging bands on the London jazz scene.

 Ineza 

Ineza is a Rwandan-born Belgian jazz singer, now based in London. She graduated from the prestigious Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and is now a rising talent on the London Jazz scene.

Her unique sound, powerful voice, excellent swing feel, smooth scat singing fuses jazz and its improvisational character with neo soul.

Her 2018 debut EP ‘Where Are You From?’ explored themes of identity, loss and healing, and was awarded a place among Bandcamp's best Soul albums.

 Emily Jane Roberts 

Emily Jane Roberts is a young, up-and-coming jazz guitarist, composer and producer. Her debut EP 'The Persistence of Memory' combines a blend of shimmering guitar playing with bold ensemble and horn writing for the rest of her sextet.

She combines a love for straight-ahead jazz guitar players like Grant Green and Emily Renner with a taste for the contemporary soul/jazz sound, with Nubya Garcia and Hiatus Kaiyote providing good reference points for her fusion of styles.

Her music has been supported by Jazz Revelations and Tony Minvielle on Jazz FM and she was a semi-finalist of BBC Young Jazz Musician 2020.
